Bill Porter has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for Paris Regional Medical Center (PRMC), officials announced today. Porter’s primary responsibility will be to oversee the hospital’s year-long transition to the North Campus.
“Our move to the North Campus will be an intense, time-consuming and complicated process,” said Chris Dux, PRMC’s Chief Executive Officer. “Bill has extensive experience with hospital moves and consolidations that makes him uniquely qualified to help guide the transition process. I am thrilled to have him as part of our team.”
With more than 16 years of hospital administrative experience, Porter most recently served as Chief Executive Officer for Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa, TX and for Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital in Tempe, AZ. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Administrator and Chief Operating Officer for Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville, TX for nearly eight years. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Executive Officer for two U.S. Army healthcare facilities in Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Vicenza, Italy.
A graduate of Arkansas State University with an undergraduate degree in Medical Technology, Porter also holds Master’s Degrees in Public Administration from Western Kentucky University and in Health Care Administration from Baylor University.
“I’m looking forward to working with the administrative team, employees and physicians at PRMC,” said Porter. “The North Campus move process is well on its way. It is a privilege to be involved in shaping this major event in the life of this community hospital.” |
