
Paris Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of psychiatrist Amanda Nell Holmes, M.D., to the medical staff.
Dr. Holmes is Board Certified in both Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She earned her medical degree at Texas A&M University College of Medicine in College Station, where she received the Richard K. Gaines, M.D. Award for Excellence in Psychiatry. She completed a general psychiatry residency and a child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.
“We are delighted Dr. Holmes has chosen to return to Paris to join the already excellent medical team at Paris Regional,” said Chris Dux, CEO of Paris Regional Medical Center. “Her expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry will add a new dimension to the psychiatric services available in our community.”
Dr. Holmes is a graduate of Paris High School. Her family has farmed in the area since the early 1800’s.
“It’s good to be back in Paris,” said Dr. Holmes. “I am excited about the opportunity to serve patients in my hometown with their mental health needs.”
Most recently, Dr. Holmes was a member of the child and adolescent psychiatry team at Scott & White Hospital. Prior to Scott & White, she worked with Providence Health Alliance in Waco. She also served as Medical Director for the child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit at the DePaul Center in Waco.
Dr. Holmes is now scheduling new patients at her offices located in Pavilion II, 2870 Lewis Lane, Suite 216 in Paris. Dr. Holmes’ practice is open to adults as well as children and adolescents. For more information please call 903-737-1630.
