PARIS REGIONAL ANNOUNCES KIDS FITNESS SWIMMING PROGRAMS
 
Paris Regional Medical Center announced today the Fall 2007 schedule for the Kids Fitness Swimming Programs. The series of classes is designed as an introduction to competitive swimming and will be offered at Aerofit, a freestanding fitness center located on Paris Regional Medical Center's South Campus.

Try-outs for the program will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

All classes are held twice a week on Monday and Wednesday afternoons throughout the school year. Students will learn to improve technique and increase endurance for fitness.

There is no cost for Wellness Center members. Non-members pay a $30 monthly fee. Students must have some swimming experience.

Fall 2007 Class Schedule

Starfish:
This is a class for home school students. The ability to swim freestyle and backstroke is required, and the student needs to be familiar with breaststroke. This class focuses on improving technique and speed through drill, sprints, timed swim, and distance swims.
Ages 8-14 / 3 p.m.-3:45 p.m.

Sealions:
This class is designed to act as an introduction to swim team for students. The ability to swim freestyle and backstroke is required, and the student needs to be familiar with breaststroke. This class focuses on improved technique and stamina.
Ages 8-12 / 3:45 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Piranhas:
This class is designed for advanced swimmers. This class focuses on improving technique and speed through drill, sprints, timed swim and distance swims.
Ages 10-14 / 4:30 p.m.-5:15 pm
